Look, We’re Losing Weight Again! (Blog #5)

Welcome back to another update on Our Carnivore Journey!

Well, my fellow carnivores, the meaty code has been unlocked, and the scale is once more in motion! Who knew we could get back on track with a little perseverance, patience, and a cabinet full of pork rinds?

A recap of The 100-Pound Dream: Recall the time we believed we could burn 100 pounds each in 45 days? Oh, what fun. Those irrational fantasies have now been reduced to a more sensible stew, and guess what? Success is beginning to taste good.

Pork and the Power of Patience: We’ve discovered that following the carnivore diet is similar to slow-roasting a succulent pot roast. It requires patience, consideration, and a determination not to check the oven every five minutes. Who would have thought that practicing patience would involve more than just bacon waiting?

The Surprising Swagger of the Scale: Our scale awoke and began dancing to our carnivorous melody just as we were beginning to believe that it had fallen into a stubborn sleep. We get a high-five from our favorite steak with every pound we absorb.

Honoring Minor Successes (Like Resisting Bread): Not to be overlooked are the smaller victories, such as avoiding drooling while passing the bakery or finally perfecting the technique for frying fish without it sticking. These triumphs may not be visible on the scale, yet they are nevertheless prized in our eyes.

Humor and hearty meals ahead: We’re marching on with a smile and a skewer, with new energy and waistlines that are starting to recognize our efforts. We still have a lot of meat to get through, but we’re up for the task.

Let recap: Our return to the weight reduction game feels like a satisfying dinner after a long day. There are detours along the way, and you could get a case of the meat sweats, but that’s all part of the carnivore charm.
